Attending Podfest 2020? How to Get the Most as a Speaker

Mar 2, 2020 | News and Events

Even though landing speaking engagements comes with a checklist of to do’s from establishing a social media presence to having a dynamic speaker website, and of course being great on stage, at its core, speaking is all about networking, staying on top of your craft and meeting the right people at the right time to help you get there. That is why we at iFind You Close are excited to collaborate with Podfest Media Expo to present the Speakers’ Pitch Lab. This is a one day event to help speakers learn the behind the scenes of filling their calendar with more speaking engagements.

With over 1500 attendees, 250 speakers and 100 sessions, it is easy to get overwhelmed at any conference but especially at a conference where everyone knows the power of their voice. In honor of this year’s Podfest in Orlando, FL, we decided to do what we do best and that is research! Our team completed a thorough analysis of every breakout session, main stage presentation, and even the parties, to determine where you should spend your time and get the most value while attending as a speaker or someone looking to launch a speaking career.

Here is our recommended list of sessions for attending Podfest 2020:

Friday, March 6th, 2020
09:00am – 4:00pm The Speaker’s Pitch Lab presented by iFind You Close
06:00pm – Influencer Meet ‘n Greet(TM) – Strategic Alliance

Why these sessions:
Of course, we want all speakers to spend the day with us and learn what it takes to get on stage and the evening event will help put everything into practice when you get to network with other attendees of Podfest.

Leveraging the room is the key

Taking the time to evaluate all of the sessions at this year’s Podfest Media Expo is what our iFind You Close team calls… easy work! As a speaker, it is important to look for opportunities to grow your network, improve your skills and let people know who you are and going to a conference is a great way to put everything into action. At this year’s Podfest, don’t hide in the back of the room but leverage the room to stay top of mind.
